Some articles on this site contain affiliate links to third-party booking platforms (TourRadar, Booking.com via Awin, GetYourGuide) and direct booking links to partner tour operators. If you click one of these links and complete a booking, we may earn a small commission.

You pay no extra. The price you see and pay is the same whether you book through one of our links or go to the booking platform directly. The commission is paid by the booking platform out of their margin, not yours.

Why we do this

Affiliate revenue is what makes it possible to write this content full-time. We are independent from the platforms we link to and we do not take payment for positive coverage of any specific tour, hotel, or activity. We only recommend things we have personal experience with or that we have confirmed through our partner network.

How we choose what to link

We pick affiliate programs based on coverage in the regions we write about, the quality of the booking experience for travelers, and the commission terms. The presence or absence of an affiliate link is not a signal of quality — some of the best small operators don't appear on aggregator platforms at all, and we cover them too.

Direct partner bookings

Some links on this site go directly to a tour operator we work with. These are clearly marked as "Book directly" and they take you to the operator's own booking system. We benefit when you book through these as well; the difference is that more of the revenue stays with the operator, and we have direct accountability for the experience.
